CNC Cutting Solutions

Al Malek Carpentry provides CNC router and laser cutting from its workshop in Al Mamourah, Ras Al Khaimah, and delivers cut panels by courier anywhere in the UAE. We cut wood, MDF, acrylic, ACP and aluminium, with steel laser cutting through a partner, into mashrabiya screens, jali panels, partitions, ceiling designs, arches and custom shapes for trade clients and homeowners.

Our joinery workshop has been part of Ras Al Khaimah since 1985. The same team that builds our wardrobes, kitchens and majlis furniture cuts every CNC order, so you get furniture-grade finishing, not just a machine cut.

How to order CNC cutting

  1. Send your design. Pick a code from our design catalogue, or send your own drawing. A CAD file (DXF or DWG) is ideal, but a PDF, sketch or photo also works.
  2. Share sizes and quantity. Tell us the panel size, number of pieces, material and finish (raw, painted or stained).
  3. Receive your quote. We confirm the material, finish, price and timing before cutting starts.
  4. Cutting. Standard orders are usually cut within 48 hours in our Ras Al Khaimah workshop. Panels are supplied raw unless you ask for painting, which adds time.
  5. Delivery or installation. We send the finished panels by courier anywhere in the UAE, or install them for you in Ras Al Khaimah.

CNC cutting FAQs

What is CNC cutting?

CNC (computer numerical control) cutting uses a computer-guided router or laser to cut a design from a digital file. Because the machine follows the file exactly, every panel comes out identical, even detailed mashrabiya and calligraphy patterns. That makes CNC ideal for repeated screens, partitions and decorative panels.

Which materials can you cut?

We cut solid wood, MDF, acrylic, ACP and aluminium in-house, and steel and other metals are laser cut through a trusted partner. Wood and MDF suit indoor screens, ceilings and furniture. Acrylic works well for signage and displays. ACP and metal are better for outdoor screens and façades. Tell us where the panel will go and we will suggest the right material.

Do you deliver outside Ras Al Khaimah?

Yes. We send CNC-cut panels by courier anywhere in the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah. Installation is only available in Ras Al Khaimah. Outside RAK, we cut to your measurements and your own team or contractor installs.

How long does CNC cutting take?

Standard cutting orders are usually ready within 48 hours of confirming the design, material and sizes. Painted panels take longer, so most clients order panels raw and paint them on site. Large project quantities are scheduled with you in advance.

What sheet sizes and thicknesses can you cut?

We cut standard sheets of 1220 × 2440 mm and 1220 × 3600 mm, in thicknesses from 2 mm to 30 mm as standard and up to 100 mm for heavy carving and thick panels. Bigger designs are split across several sheets that line up neatly when installed.

Can I send my own design?

Yes. A CAD file such as DXF or DWG gives the most accurate result, but you can also send a PDF drawing, a sketch or a photo of a design you like. We will prepare the cutting file and confirm the details with you before we cut.

How much does CNC cutting cost?

The price depends on the material, panel size, design complexity, finish and quantity. A simple pattern in MDF costs less than a detailed design in solid wood or metal. Send us your design or catalogue code with sizes and quantity, and we will send you a clear quote.

What is the difference between CNC router and laser cutting?

A CNC router uses a spinning cutting bit and suits thicker materials such as wood, MDF and ACP, and it can also carve 3D and grooved designs. A laser cuts with a focused beam and gives very fine detail and clean edges, which suits acrylic and metal. We choose the method that best fits your material and design.

Do you work with contractors and trade clients?

Yes. We cut panels for fit-out contractors, joinery workshops, interior designers, sign makers and exhibition builders across the UAE. We handle one-off pieces as well as batch and repeat orders, and we can match cutting to your project schedule.
